Biography

Edgard Eeckman is chairman of the Belgian non-profit organisation Patient Empowerment. He studied communication sciences at the Free University of Brussels and holds a PhD in media and communication studies. He is a visiting professor on Patient Empowerment at various educational institutions and has published several books on communication, communication in healthcare, and patient empowerment.
