Wieger Heijenk

Wieger Heijenk MSc works in a primary care practice in Zeewolde as a physical therapist / manual therapist and is specialized in complex shoulder pathology. He is affiliated with the shoulder clinic at Bergman Clinics in Naarden as a consulting physical therapist, collaborating with two shoulder orthopedic surgeons.

He is a lecturer at Thimalp and provides courses on motor control learning for shoulder complaints, both nationally and internationally.

Together with prof. Annelies Maenhout from Ghent University, he has initiated research on the effectiveness of implicit learning strategies for chronic shoulder complaints. Their first article has recently been published.
