Description

The patient positions themselves near a support that will serve as a prop and stands with a slight lunge. The body weight rests on the heel of the injured leg (in our example, the right leg) with a knee flexion of 10 to 20° and the toes lifted.   The patient is instructed to slide the healthy leg backward and stop before feeling pain. They can use a slippery object such as a towel to facilitate the sliding. Returning to the starting position is done with the help of the arms to avoid using the injured leg. The exercise starts slowly with short sliding distances and progressively increases the sliding distance and execution speed.
