Description

Lie on your back with your hands on your hips, knees bent, and feet flat on the floor. Place an elastic band around your knee, then anchor the band next to you so that it resists the movement when you spread your leg. By contracting your adductor muscles, slowly bring your knee toward the other knee against the resistance of the elastic band. Then slowly return to the starting position, controlling the movement. Repeat the exercise several times as directed by your physical therapist.
