Description

Place one foot on a step or stair that is approximately two steps high. Slowly ascend by pushing up with the painful leg, then descend controlling the movement with the same leg. The step can be adjusted to a high position as in this example or to a lower setting if necessary, depending on your comfort level and your therapist's recommendations.
