Description
Lie on your back, with the upper part of your cervical spine resting on a small, firmly rolled towel. Ensure this roll is close to the edge of the table so that your head is slightly unsupported and hanging off the edge. As you relax, the weight of your head will induce a slight extension of your neck, which helps relieve pressure on the upper part of your cervical spine. Remain in this position for the duration recommended by your physical therapist. You can repeat this exercise as often as needed to relieve your headaches.
