Description
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your body weight evenly distributed. As you inhale, raise your arms overhead, palms facing each other, then gradually bend your torso to the side while keeping your pelvis stable, without letting it shift sideways. Lengthen your trunk into the lateral flexion without compressing it, keep your legs engaged and your feet firmly planted, your neck long, and your gaze forward or slightly upward, depending on what is comfortable for your neck. Keep your breathing calm, aiming for both lengthening and stability, then slowly return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
