Description
Sit on the floor, bend one knee, and place your foot on the outside of your opposite leg, then bend the knee of your bottom leg, bringing your heel toward your opposite glute, depending on your mobility. Sit up tall, place one hand behind you for support, then bring the elbow of your opposite arm in front of your bent knee to deepen the thoracic twist. Keep your pelvis stable, lengthen your spine with each inhalation, and gradually deepen the rotation with each exhalation. Keep your neck long, with your gaze following the twist or staying neutral, depending on what is comfortable for your neck. Hold the position for several calm breaths, keeping your foot firmly planted and your bottom leg engaged, then return to the center with control and repeat on the other side.
