Description
Place your clenched fist with the thumb oriented upwards just under your chin. This position will block the flexion movement of your neck. Then, flex your neck by lowering your head until your fist touches your chest. If you do not feel any symptoms at this stage, use your other hand to hold the back of your head and gently pull to apply a slight traction. If all is well, maintain this cervical flexion position with the additional overpressure for as long as your physical therapist has instructed you.
