Description

Sit on the floor, bend one knee, and place the foot on the outside of the opposite extended leg. Lengthen your torso, place one hand behind you for support, then bring the elbow of the opposite arm in front of the bent knee to deepen the twist of the chest. Keep the pelvis stable, lengthen the spine with each inhalation, and gradually increase the rotation with each exhalation. Keep the back of the neck long and let your gaze either follow the twist or stay neutral, depending on what feels best for your neck. Hold the posture for several calm breaths, keeping the foot firmly grounded and the toes of the extended leg active, then return to the center with control and repeat on the other side.
