Description

Lie down on your back with your knees bent and your back in a neutral position (slightly arched). Place both of your feet on sliding supports. Engage your lower abdominal muscles (transverse abdominis) by pulling your navel in and slightly contracting the perineal muscles (pelvic floor) at about 20 to 30% of your maximum contraction. Maintain steady breathing through your abdomen while you extend one leg, keeping your back flat on the floor. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat the exercise.
