Description
Stand up, take a big step back, and lift your back knee off the floor. Bend your front knee, keeping it tracking in the direction of your toes, lean your torso forward, and place the hand opposite your front foot on the floor or on a block, depending on your mobility. Then rotate your chest toward the side opposite the front leg while pivoting onto the outer edges of your feet. Keep your pelvis as stable as possible during the twist, and keep the back leg active and extended. Raise your top arm toward the sky as high as your range of motion allows, keep the back of your neck long, and direct your gaze to the floor, to the side, or upward, depending on what feels best for your neck. Maintain a calm breath, seeking both stability, spinal mobility, and control, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
