Description
Sit down with your legs extended and apart, feet flexed toward you. Open your arms to shoulder height within your field of vision, keep a neutral spine, and inhale by directing the air into your back and lower belly, then exhale as you lengthen upwards. Next, rotate your torso as far as you can to one side, then curl the spine into a thoracic flexion: the front arm rotates as if you were “sawing” your foot with the edge of your hand, while the back arm rotates inward behind you without lifting the opposite buttock off the mat. Let your head follow your arms, then uncurl the spine vertebra by vertebra to return to the starting position before repeating on the other side.
