Description
Settle into Tree Pose, with your supporting foot firmly planted on the floor and the sole of your other foot against your inner thigh, palms together in front of your chest. As you inhale, raise your arms overhead, then gradually bend your torso to the side. Keep your supporting foot and leg engaged and your pelvis stable, without letting it shift sideways, and lengthen your trunk into the lateral flexion without compressing it. Keep your neck long and your gaze forward or slightly upward, depending on what is comfortable for your neck. Keep your breathing calm, aiming for balance, grounding, and lateral opening of the body, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
