Description

From Downward-Facing Dog, shift your body weight slightly forward, then step one foot under the shoulder on the same side to come into a lunge. Root the front foot firmly into the ground, with the knee pointing in the same direction as the toes, and keep the back leg active, with the knee either on the floor or lifted depending on your level. Adjust the pelvis so it is aligned over your points of support without collapsing, and keep your hands on the floor or on blocks, depending on your mobility. Keep the back of the neck long and your gaze toward the floor or slightly forward. Maintain a calm breath, seeking fluidity, stability, and control, then return and repeat on the other side.
