Description

Start standing, one foot in front of the other, with the injured leg in front, and near an object to support yourself with your hands. To facilitate the movement, you can place a towel or low-friction cloth under your back foot. Focus all your weight on the heel of the injured leg (the one in front), with a slight bend in the knee of about 10 to 20 degrees. Initiate the movement by sliding backward on the other leg, stopping just before you feel pain. Return to the starting position using mainly your arms and not the injured leg. Gradually increase the sliding distance and execution speed of the exercise to intensify the training.
