Description

You are standing, back straight, arms at your sides, with weight on one semi-extended leg and an elastic band in the same hand. This elastic band is anchored on the opposite leg's side and tensioned so that you feel a pull toward it. While keeping the supporting leg as straight as possible, slowly lean the body forward, gradually bringing the torso to a horizontal position while resisting the pull of the elastic band to the side. At the same time, the arm holding the elastic band is guided by gravity, and the opposite leg lifts to counterbalance. A slight knee bend on your supporting leg is allowed. When you feel tension behind the knee, return the body to an upright position and then repeat the exercise.
