Description
Stand with your back to a stool, a bench, or an equivalent support, with one foot slightly ahead of the other. The support should be adjusted so that your thighs are nearly horizontal when you sit down. Lower yourself until you lightly touch the support, then immediately stand back up, keeping your feet staggered throughout the exercise. Perform the sit-to-stands as quickly as possible, for the duration indicated by your therapist or the number of repetitions required within a set time.
