Description
Start in the low lunge, with your front foot firmly planted and your back knee on the floor behind your hip. As you inhale, engage your trunk and lift your back knee off the floor to straighten the leg and come into a high lunge, pushing your back heel backward to create length. As you exhale, lower your back knee to the floor to return to the low lunge, slowly and in a controlled manner, without losing your balance. Keep your pelvis stable, your front knee aligned with your toes, and your upper body upright. Maintain a fluid breath through each transition, then return and repeat on the other side.
