Description
From the quadruped position, bring one knee forward toward the wrist on the same side, then let your leg settle diagonally in front of you, with your back leg straight in line with your hip and your foot reaching backward. Keep your pelvis facing forward as much as possible, then place your hands on either side of your pelvis to sit up tall and lengthen your spine. Keep your shoulders down, your neck long, and your gaze forward, and gently alternate small flexion and extension movements of your torso to reach a little farther each time. Keep your breathing calm, feeling the stretch in the front of your hip, without forcing or letting your pelvis sag, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
