Description
Stand at the bottom of a hill with a hard surface, with your feet slightly staggered and your torso leaning forward. Perform a short, intense uphill acceleration, pushing powerfully into the ground at each foot strike, with full extension of the hip and knee of your push-off leg. Actively drive your knees forward and up, keep your foot contacts on your forefoot, and accompany your stride with a big, dynamic arm action. Keep your torso leaning forward, your trunk braced, and your gaze a few yards ahead of you, without breaking your posture or sitting back in your stride at the end of the acceleration. Perform the distance and number of repetitions indicated by your physical therapist, respecting the recovery times between sprints.
