Description
Start in a kneeling position, with the foot of the leg to be worked placed in front of you. For added stability, join your hands in front of you. Then, lift the heel of the supporting leg and get into a standing position balancing on that leg without placing the heel on the ground. The knee of the opposite leg should be bent, with the thigh parallel to the ground. Try to extend yourself as much as possible on the tip of your foot. Hold this balance position for the duration recommended by your physical therapist, then return to the starting position, place the heel down, and repeat the exercise.
