Description

Stand with your feet together, holding a weight at chest level with both hands. Take a large step to the side to perform a lateral lunge. Slowly lower yourself by bending the knee of the displaced leg, keeping the kneecap in line with the second toe and the back slightly arched (glutes and hips backwards). Simultaneously, lift the weight overhead to activate the shoulders and trunk. Push yourself back dynamically onto the heel of the bent leg with a short hop, and move directly into a side lunge on the other side, repeating the same movement.
