Description
Stand upright with a step in front of you. Place one foot on the step, then step backward into a lunge position. Bend your front knee, lowering your back knee close to the ground, keeping your chest upright and stable. Push with your front leg to bring your back leg onto the step, raising your opposite knee in front of you while fully extending your supporting leg. Simultaneously, use your arms to assist the movement, finishing with one arm extended overhead as your knee lifts. Return to the lunge position, controlling the movement. Keep your hips aligned and avoid twisting your torso. Ensure your shoulders stay square and facing forward to maintain a stable posture throughout the exercise.
