Description
The patient kneels with their ankles flexed so that the toes point towards the ground and the feet are held by the physical therapist or hooked under a solid object. Keeping the thighs in line with the torso, the patient is instructed to lean forward by extending the knee. They will have to slow down the movement and go as far as possible before feeling any pain. To return to the starting position, the patient should use their arms to bypass the concentric stage of the hamstrings.
