Description
Position yourself on a trail with variations in slope, width, and grip. Without rest, perform the sequences requested by your physical therapist: uphill running, accelerations, bounding, jumps, and changes of direction, going down and then back up the trail. Keep your torso slightly leaning forward, your trunk engaged, and your gaze several yards ahead of you to anticipate the unevenness of the terrain. Continuously adapt your stride length, cadence, and push-off intensity to the variations in slope and surface. Aim for dynamic but always controlled foot contacts: your knee stays aligned with your toes, your ankle stable, and your pelvis level, including downhill. Perform the circuit for the duration or number of passes indicated by your physical therapist.
