Description
Stand up, shift your body weight onto your supporting leg, and grab your opposite foot. Start with your knee bent, then gradually straighten your leg forward. Then open your hip by bringing your leg out to the side, helping with a gentle pull on your foot. Keep your supporting foot engaged and stable, and your pelvis over your supporting leg without tipping excessively. Keep your torso upright and your neck long. Leave your opposite arm on your hip, open it out to the side, or hold onto a wall to help with balance, and fix your gaze on a stable point. Keep your breathing calm, aiming for stability, control, and hip mobility, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
