Description
Stand with your feet together, holding a weight at chest level with both hands. Take a large step to the side to perform a lateral lunge. Slowly lower yourself by bending the knee of the displaced leg, keeping the kneecap in line with the second toe and the back slightly arched (glutes and hips back). Simultaneously, lift the weight overhead to engage the shoulders and trunk. Push back dynamically on the heel of the bent leg to return to a standing position, then follow directly with the same movement on the other side.
