Description
Stand up, shift your body weight onto your supporting leg, and grab your opposite foot by the big toe. Gradually straighten your leg forward to horizontal, keeping a gentle pull on your foot, then let go of your foot while holding the position. Keep your supporting foot engaged and stable, and your pelvis over your supporting leg without tipping. Keep your torso upright and your neck long. Leave your opposite arm on your hip, open it out to the side, or hold onto a wall to help with balance, and fix your gaze on a stable point. Keep your breathing calm, aiming for stability, control, and lengthening of the raised leg, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
