Description
Get into a classic sumo position, with your feet wide apart and your toes pointing outward. Grasp the bar on the floor and begin to lift it slowly, maintaining a tempo of about 3 seconds until it reaches knee height. Maintain this slow, controlled speed until this point, then finish the lift more quickly and explosively to reach a standing position. Then return to the starting position. Keep your back straight and your muscles tense throughout the movement.
